Our Mission, Vision and Philosophy
Our Philosophy
Our nationally accredited program provides a safe and nurturing
environment which promotes the physical, social, emotional and
cognitive development of young children. We believe that
learning occurs as a result of the interaction between the
child's thoughts and rich experiences with materials, ideas and
people. The experiences we provide match the child's interest
and understanding. Our integrative approach focuses on the
process of learning, giving children tools which help them
become successful and responsible learners.
By meeting the children at their individual levels, by involving
them actively in their learning, and by celebrating their
growth, we help to build a positive self-esteem. Each child
becomes an integral part in a community of learners. The
community of learners is in turn nurtured by the cooperative
efforts of teachers and parents.
Our parental support comes from a confidence in our program.
This confidence is based on direct information obtained through
parent meetings, conferences, open houses and monthly
newsletters. Parents are always welcome to observe and
participate in our program.
We encourage you and your child to become a part of our growing
extended family.
To accomplish our Mission/Vision, we will:
- Employ individuals who are dedicated to children and
provide opportunities for their professional growth.
- Develop a collaborative relationship with the community.
- Maintain and take pride in a clean, safe and attractive
center.
- Create a positive environment that is warm and nurturing
for children, staff and families.
- Practice effective leadership skills.
- Establish open lines of communication among
administration staff and families.
- Provide a developmentally appropriate curriculum based
on the interests and abilities each child.
- Establish a joint partnership with our families by
providing services and resources that meet their individual
needs.
- Continually assess and modify our efforts to accomplish
our vision.
- Develop our own advocacy skills and empower parents to
learn as much as they can about their children.
- Bond together a community of learners who focus on the
strengths and contributions of each member.
- Create an extension of the family environment by
focusing on the strengths and contributions of each
community member.
- Observe and respond to each child's interests,
abilities, and needs.
- We will provide children with many opportunities to
engage in meaningful experiences inspired by their own
interest and observations of their world.
