Happy New Year!
Updated: Jan 11, 2018
Happy 2018! We are so happy to welcome everyone back from winter break. Hopefully, it was full of fun and family!
The weather has brought us a lot of new snow to play with on our playground, as well as very chilly temperatures. Our school policy is that we bring classes out to play if the temperature is 20 degrees or above at their scheduled outdoor time. We recommend bringing in "snow gear" (snow pants, boots, waterproof mittens/gloves, hats, extra socks, extra mittens, extra pants, extra...everything!) even if you are not sure if your child's class will being going out. We check the weather throughout the day and try our very best to make it out, even if just for fifteen minutes.
We also would like to send a big THANK YOU to our amazing school community for the incredibly generous donations to the Rye Fire Department for our December Service Project. Seacoast families in need were able to have an extra special holiday with their children free from worry because of your generosity. We are so touched by the outpouring of support we receive each year, and this season was no exception. Thank you!
Teachers are very busy this month assessing children and preparing for conferences. Conferences will be held on Thursday, January 25th and Friday, January 26th. These conferences are for parents and there is NO SCHOOL for children. The sign up sheets are on a clipboard in the office. If you can not make it in, please email the school at email@example.com and we will help you find an available conference time that works for your schedule.
We are always looking for nonperishable food item donations! We know that life gets busy, and your snack day can get lost in the shuffle. However, classrooms are nearing the end of their back-up stashes and it would be very helpful to replenish them. Remember to check the classroom calendar for your child's scheduled snack day. Thank you!
Believe it or not, we will be turning our attention to the next school year very soon! The office will be sending out registration information at the end of the month. Spots for our toddler program, preschool program and PreK/Kindergarten programs begin to fill quickly! If you know of any new families that would be an excellent fit for our school community, help us spread the word! Tours are being scheduled daily!
As always, we are here for your family. If you have questions, don't hesitate to reach out! Wishing you all a healthy and happy New Year!
